The HPi-7s features a large color LCD screen with a viewing area twice as wide as the Roland HPi-6s. DigiScore notation "turns the pages" of the music for you as you play, with notes scrolling across the screen in realtime. The larger screen allows you to view more measures of music at once, while providing positive feedback on your performance.
Visual Lesson Makes Learning More Fun
Roland's new "Visual Lesson" acts as a patient tutor and teacher, offering three practice selections, including "Beginner's Course," "Repertoire Course" and "Challenge Course." Each course includes independent exercises, 10 songs with variable levels and "Practice," "Check," and "Review" options. You can also use over 170 internal songs and commercially available music files and SMF (standard MIDI files) downloaded via internet for lessons in each course in addition to the independent exercises.
High Quality Sounds and Progressive Hammer-Action Keyboard with Escapement
Together, the HPi-7's Progressive Hammer-Action Keyboard with Escapement and new high-quality 128-voice polyphony piano sounds faithfully reproduce the true expressiveness and realism of a world-class acoustic grand piano. A new velocity sensitive "Key off sounds" feature reproduces an acoustic piano's subtle nuances, such as the sound made when the damper touches a string to stop vibration upon key release. Incorporating Roland KR-7 technology, the HPi-7s faithfully reproduces a range of acoustic piano nuances with delicate accuracy, including "String Resonance," "Lid," and "Hammer Response."
Taking Music Education To New Levels
The HPi-7s offers lots of fun learning features, including more than 170 internal songs of various music genres, such as classical, jazz, and children's songs with accompaniment. Extra songs also available from Keysound. The right and left hand part of all internal songs can be muted for practice and study. The onboard "Pianist™ " function encourages ensemble playing and "Edit" allows you to create and store original music files on the built-in USB pen drive socket. "Flash Card" and other educational games have been added to Roland's acclaimed "Wonderland" section, for more fun in learning.
