Features

Just You and Your Music

The DGX-660 contemporary digital piano gives pianists a fun way to enhance their creative and performance experience. Players of all abilities can feel what it's like to play with a band and sound like a pro while the built-in USB Audio Recorder captures every moment of musical inspiration.

Choose your piano and where you'd like to play!

Welcome to your personal "Piano Room"! The DGX-660 provides a dedicated virtual space where you can choose from a variety of pianos and acoustic settings, creating your personalised practice or performance environment. Simply select your desired piano, then choose an acoustic space from a plain room to a club stage or a concert hall. You can even adjust the position of the virtual piano lid!

Play and sing!

Connect a microphone to the DGX-660 to sing along with your own playing or with pre-recorded Karaoke song files from Yamaha Musicsoft, You can view lyrics on the DGX-660's display and hear your vocals and backing mixed perfectly together through the built-in speakers. Three convenient presets are provided for different vocal performance situations. You can even create and save your own original microphone settings including professional reverb and chorus effects.

Go wireless with your iOS device

The optional Yamaha wireless adaptor can stream audio and MIDI to and from your iOS device with compatible music apps. The Chord Tracker App takes full advantage of this technology, allowing you to play back songs from your iOS device song library wirelessly through the DGX-660's speaker system. Chord Tracker analyses the audio songs stored in your iOS device and then displays the chord symbols for you. It can even create an XF song file that plays back the chords of the song using the DGX-660's built-in accompaniment Styles.

A world-class concert grand piano sound with Pure CF Sampling

The Pure CF Sound Engine in the DGX-660 brings together many years of acoustic piano making heritage combined with modern sampling techniques. Yamaha is renowned for its digital piano technology and you can hear this in the Voices that utilise the Pure CF piano sample. The sound of a Yamaha CFIIIS 9' concert grand piano is faithfully reproduced, producing incredible dynamics and expressiveness, making the DGX-660 an instrument worthy of the Yamaha name.

Experience authentic piano touch

The Yamaha Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) 88-note keyboard features a weighted action with heavier touch at the low end and lighter touch at the high end to faithfully replicate the feel of an acoustic piano. For the aspiring pianist, practising on the GHS action builds the proper finger technique and strength needed for performing on an acoustic piano.

Damper Resonance

Damper Resonance digitally reproduces the sympathetic vibrations created by the strings of an acoustic piano. When the damper pedal is used in a performance, other strings add resonance to the notes you play until the pedal is released.

Score and Lyrics Display

The crystal-clear LCD can be switched to display score or lyrics, showing you the music notation for the MIDI song that the DGX-660 is playing. The score can be displayed for both the built-in songs and for songs downloaded to a USB device from Yamaha MusicSoft. You can also display the music for the songs you've created on the instrument.

Live! Cool! and Sweet! Voices

Authentic guitars, lush strings, punchy brass and more... The highly acclaimed Live!, Cool! and Sweet! Voices feature a unique blend of long, stereo and multi-layered samples that capture the essence of each instrument, right down to realistic resonance, expression and vibrato.

USB Audio Recording and Playback

Record your performances or MIDI songs in uncompressed, CD-quality audio (WAV format) to a USB flash drive using the built-in Audio Recorder. You can then copy your songs to your computer to make CDs, share them over the Internet or transfer to your portable music player. You can also playback uncompressed WAV files stored on a USB flash drive.

Simple Chords... Professional Sound!

Smart Chord makes you sound like a pro, even when you've just started to learn how to play a song. With a single finger of your left hand, Smart Chord will create entire chords from simple Pop triads to complex jazz 7th and 9th chords. Accompaniment Styles create the rest of your virtual band while you get straight to the music!

Find the right style easily with Style Recommender

Style Recommender helps you find Styles quickly and easily. When you know how the music should feel, but are unsure which style to choose, simply play few notes in the rhythm of the song you want to perform and Style Recommender will offer a list of matching Styles to choose from.

Audio Input

Use the line input to connect your audio player or another instrument and hear the playback through the DGX-660. The amplifier and speaker system is powerful, clear and finely tuned for all types of music.

Excellent piano, has everything that I wanted.

I've been a customer of Keysound for many years, I've enquired with other shops, but none come close to the service and helpfulness of Keysound. I would recommend them without hesitation. I've recently purchased another keyboard from them, and as always their after sales service was great. I like the way the black notes were thrown in for free!

I need a lot of help trying to sort it out, but that's not the keyboards fault.

Generally very pleased with it, looks beautiful, the keys feel great and it sounds good.
The seem to be some problems:
If you load a midi file and display the score, the display does not work very well, often the bass clef is above the treble clef, and sometimes the clefs change from treble to bass.

You can save songs to a usb stick, but this has to be formatted by the instrument, and it will not read a stick formatted on a windows computer. You can transfer files to and from the instrument via usb cable, but it would be nice to just plug a usb stick in.

An amazing instrument, both in terms of what it can do and in terms of its reasonable price for such an advanced instrument. Every home should have one!
