Elevate your music with a new PSR-SX Arranger Workstation—where innovation meets inspiration!
Highlights:
Unleash your musical creativity. These powerhouse Arranger Workstations boast over 1,300 high-quality Voices and hundreds of Styles, all equipped with One Touch Settings to instantly ignite your performance. Use a Live Controller to adjust the energy and dynamics of any Style with Style Dynamics Control, and with double the Style Insertion DSP power from the previous model, new and familiar Styles, all enhanced with the latest Voices and effects, sound more refined, providing an elevated musical experience.
For the first time in an SX-Series instrument, the PSR-SX920 includes Super Articulation2 technology. Without even thinking about it, S.Art2 delivers unprecedented realism to Voices with lifelike instrument articulations added seamlessly to your performance.
Plus, with the new Super Articulation Plus Voices (S.Art+) in both models, you can switch between different instrument articulations with the touch of a button. This is an evolution of the existing S.Art voice, which previously allowed only one articulation per voice, but with S.Art+, multiple articulations can be used per voice. This allows for more natural expression
With the newly added Crossfade Portamento, experience smooth, fluid pitch transitions, adding expressive depth to your music.
The PSR-SX920 includes 8 assignable panel buttons, 6 home screen shortcuts and 2 Live Control knobs, giving you rapid access to your favourite functions for instant adjustments and flexibility.
Key Features :
Style Dynamics Control
With Style Dynamics Control, the energy and dynamics of all Styles, including User Styles, can be easily adjusted using a single Live controller or assigned to a pedal. Whether you want your backing band to play at a soft pianissimo level, a hard fortissimo level, or anything in between, the choice is yours.
Crossfade Portamento
Portamento is a musical technique that smooths out changes in pitch, creating a fluid transition between notes. The Crossfade Portamento feature in PSR-SX smoothly transitions between the notes you play, infusing your performance with expressive dynamics and emotional depth. The velocity limit for portamento can now be set independently, allowing greater flexibility for those who wish to use portamento.
Live Control & Assignable Buttons
During a performance, quick access to key features is crucial. With 8 assignable panel buttons and 6 home screen shortcuts, you can recall your favourite functions instantly with a single touch. Assign features like sound filtering or Style Dynamics Control to the Live Control knobs for real-time manipulation on the fly.
Chord Looper
Record a chord progression and loop it. Chord Looper assists with performance, practice, and composition. The new panel buttons provide quick access to recording and playing back chord sequences in real-time. In addition, a collection of standard chord progressions in 12 keys is also included in the presets for instant recall.
Extended EQ Settings
Finish your sound with the PSR-SX’s eight-band digital Master EQ, featuring Shelving & Peaking options, expanding the range of sound creation.
Playlist
Playlist is the best way to organise Registration Memory banks into convenient Playlists for instant recall during performance. With the updated user interface, Playlist entries can be sorted A to Z, or Z to A, you can jump alphabetically through Playlist records as well as filter for a specific term in the records.
Voice Edit
Preset Voices are ready to play out of the box, but for those who love to tweak, Voice Edit lets you fine-tune and customise your own sound. The redesigned user interface makes it quick and easy to experiment and craft your perfect Voice.
EXPANSION EXPLORER App
The new EXPANSION EXPLORER app is the ultimate tool for supercharging your Arranger Workstation experience. Quickly access, search, and preview your favourite Expansion content on iOS, Android, Windows and Mac. With tailored recommendations and effortless management, EXPANSION EXPLORER makes discovering and installing new content easier than ever before.
Panel Reset
Press Direct Access and tap Panel Reset. This function allows you to return to the state when the power was turned on, without having to restart the main unit, when you have changed various MIDI channel settings or other settings, and as a result you are no longer sure of the current operating state of the instrument.
Smart Chord
The function is an automatic accompaniment for the root note of a chord, which is played with a single finger. This feature, familiar to users of the E series, is now available on the SX series, allowing you to play chords in any key with a single finger, without the need for chord playing skills or knowledge.
Beat Setting For Each Style Section
First, beats can be set for each STYLE section. This can be used for music that changes beats in the middle of a song, such as arabic music.
Also, when switching sections in STYLE, it is now possible to switch without waiting for the beginning of the next section. Of course, you can choose to wait until the next section as before.
Style Creator – Insertion Effect Bypass
Now with the ability to Bypass Insertion Effect in the Drum Settings in Style Creator. This allows for more detailed sound customisation, for example, bypassing the drum effect for kick.
Increased Style Effects
The number of available insertion effects for STYLE has been increased. This allows the use of more effects in STYLE and achieves a richer-sounding accompaniment.
PSR-SX920: Number of effects up to 4
PSR-SX720: Number of effects up to 2
