Roland has announced a substantial increase in the length of warranty cover provided on selected models in its digital piano range. Effective immediately, and backdated to the beginning of the year, all current models and colour variations in the Roland HP/HPi and LX series will come with a 10-year warranty protecting against failure from faulty manufacture.

This best-in-class warranty is offered as a testament to the exceptional durability and workmanship that goes in to Roland’s digital pianos and underlines one of Roland’s key goals, which is to produce digital pianos of the highest quality that are built to last for many years. Sean Montgomery, Roland’s European product manager for pianos, explained why it makes sense to offer such a long warranty period; “A lot can happen in a decade. You could go from being a complete beginner to an accomplished pianist in that time. Or if you bought for your children, you’ll want to make sure your chosen piano will keep them playing for many years to come. Whatever musical path you choose, it’s reassuring to know that your Roland digital piano will be with you every step of the way – today, tomorrow and for years to come.”

To activate the warranty, new owners should register their piano with Roland UK, providing the serial number and name of the retailer from which it was bought. Once registered, the 10 year warranty cover will start automatically. Customers who have already bought one of the specified pianos can also benefit from the upgraded warranty, as the cover is offered retrospectively on pianos sold on or after January 1st 2014.

- HP-603 in Contemporary Rosewood, Contemporary Black and White
- HP-605 in Contemporary Rosewood, Contemporary Black, White and Polished Ebony

- LX-17 in Polished White and Polished Ebony
- HPi-50e in Rosewood
